Principal’s Message

Hi Families!

The month of March is Women’s History Month and the week of March 18th-22nd we recognize Neurodiversity.  Our community is committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment, it is crucial that we all have an understanding of neurodiversity and its significance at Bubb.

Neurodiversity is the natural variation in human brain functioning and cognition.  It encompasses a wide range of neurological differences including but not limited to autism, ADHD, and various learning disabilities.  Diversity and neurodiversity equally enrich our school community by bringing unique perspectives, strengths, and talents.

Embracing neurodiversity means celebrating the unique strengths and abilities of every individual, regardless of the neurological make up.  By recognizing and valuing these differences we create an inclusive environment where every student feels valued and respected for who they are.  By understanding and fostering acceptance of neurodiverse individuals, we can create a culture of belonging where all students have equal opportunities to succeed.

Neurodiversity brings a wealth of perspectives to our school community.  We can harness the strength of neurodiverse students to enhance collaborative learning, problem-solving, and creativity within our classrooms. Understanding neurodiversity helps to build empathy and understanding towards individuals with different neurological profiles.  It fosters a culture of acceptance and kindness where students learn to appreciate one another regardless of their differences.

By fostering a culture of acceptance, understanding, and inclusion, we can create a brighter future for all our students.  Together Everyone Achieves More (T.E.A.M)!

Respectfully,

Principal Kobata

School News

Spring Picture Day is coming

Mark your calendars!  Spring picture day is coming to Bubb on Wednesday March 20, 2024. Order forms and fliers were sent home last Friday.

Mountain View’s New Bookmobile comes to Bubb!

Mountain View Public Library has introduced a brand new Bookmobile. The smaller size of the new bookmobile allows it to more easily move throughout the city of Mountain View and reach areas that were previously inaccessible with the older larger vehicle. The new bookmobile operates fully on electricity and will be recognizable with the eye-catching City colors and library logos. Its first visit to Bubb School will be on Wednesday, March 20 at 2:35, near the MUR.

Safety Reminders:

We have seen an increase in tardies over the past few weeks.  Students need to be in their lines at 8:00 when the second bell rings.  If students arrive after the gates close at 8:00, then they need to come through the front office to get a late slip.  That way we can account for them and mark them present; otherwise, they may still be marked absent in the system.

If you are running late, please remember SAFETY FIRST.  Do NOT have your child run across the street or parking lot.  Do NOT allow your child to exit the car while you are still in traffic--wait until you get into the car circle or park at the curb.

Better Together: March

In the month of March, #BetterTogether is taking a moment to honor the women trailblazers who shattered barriers and paved the way for future generations. As a way of honoring them, students in the district will also be learning about what it means to embody the spirit of being helpers for others, especially for others facing challenges and inequities. By standing #BetterTogether and amplifying the voices of women, we honor their legacy and continue to strive for a better world. For more information about Better Together, visit mvwsd.org/BetterTogetherMVWSD.
