Principal’s Message

Hi Families!

Welcome back! I hope each of you had a rejuvenating and joyous  break, filled with cherished moments and time spent with loved ones.

The holiday break provided us with a chance to recharge, reflect, and prepare for the adventures that lie ahead. I hope you return with renewed energy, ready to dive into the opportunities and challenges that the new year brings.

Let's carry forward the spirit of togetherness and collaboration that defines the Bubb community. As we step into this next phase of the academic year, let's continue to foster an environment that encourages growth, celebrates diversity, and nurtures the potential within each and every one of our students.

I am excited about what we will achieve together in the coming months. Thank you for being an integral part of our school family and for your unwavering commitment to our shared goals.

Here's to a new year filled with endless possibilities, growth, and success for us all.

Respectfully,

Principal Kobata

School News

Spirit Week

Our Bubb Cubs celebrated the last week of 2023 with silly sweaters, wild hats, wacky hair, and PJ's! Our Student Leadership Kudos to our Student Leadership: Sanya A., Gavin A., Audrina C., Kaden T., Noor E., Calvin G., Alexander S., Athena S., Wing-Fay T., and Alexander X., did an amazing job planning and promoting a fun week.

Lost and Found

Our Lost and Found rack is getting full! There are some nice warm coats that our Bubb Cubs have left behind on the blacktop or playground. Check to see if you can find your student’s sweater, jacket or water bottle. It is located on the main hallway near Room 13. All parents are encouraged to label their child’s clothing with the student’s initials and room number. All unclaimed items are donated to charity at the end of the trimester.

Medication Forms

If your child requires medication to be kept at school, please pick up a medication release form from the school office. We cannot administer any medication without the forms.  Please note that all medication, even over the counter medications, need a medication form signed by your doctor.  For more information click here to be linked to the Physical Health webpage.

Short-Term Independent Studies

Family vacations should be planned outside the school year.  Please make every effort to schedule around our instructional calendar.  If your plans should include your child missing 3-14 days of school, please email Principal Kobata and your students' classroom teacher to discuss a short-term independent studies contract to minimize the impact of missed school days.

Volunteer Hours Reporting

The PTA appreciates all our fabulous parent volunteers! Please remember to report your hours for any volunteering for 2023 including events like the book fair, reading under the stars, class parties/activities, etc. Keeping in the habit of reporting your hours in 2024 would be a great new years resolution.

You can consider all phone calls, meetings, emails, events (including set-up and clean up), any preparation work at home, travel time, etc. If your child's teacher or the PTA asked you to do it, include your time!

On-site after school programs available starting soon.

The Bubb PTA is sharing these programs with sessions starting in January or February to help build community awareness but has not vetted and is not sponsoring the programs. Please review their websites to ensure it is a good option for your child and for more information about the program, timing, and registration. Other after school offers are listed on the PTA website. If you have a new on-site program that you think would like to be highlighted, contact us at [email protected].
