Principal’s Message

Hi Families!

The month of December is going by so fast so I wanted us to pause amid the rush and cherish the moments that truly matter.  Within the Bubb community this month brings not just festivities but also a time for reflection and togetherness.

Our #Bettertogether theme is addressing bias. At Bubb, we acknowledge that biases exist but we also affirm that it is within our power to challenge them, to learn and to grow beyond their constraints. I want to celebrate the diversity within our school.  Each voice, each story, and each unique perspective adds depth and color to our journey.

Together, as the new year approaches, let’s commit ourselves to continuing to create an environment where diversity is celebrated and inclusivity flourishes.  Let learning be our constant companion, urging us to listen to each other’s stories so every individual feels seen, heard, and appreciated.

With Respect,

Principal Kobata.

Lost and Found

Our Lost and Found rack is getting full! There are some nice warm coats that our Bubb Cubs have left behind on the blacktop or playground. Check to see if you can find your student’s sweater, jacket or water bottle. It is located on the main hallway near Room 13. All parents are encouraged to label their child’s clothing with the student’s initials and room number. All unclaimed items are donated to charity at the end of the trimester.

Medication Forms

If your child requires medication to be kept at school, please pick up a medication release form from the school office. We cannot administer any medication without the forms.  Please note that all medication, even over the counter medications, need a medication form signed by your doctor.  For more information click here to be linked to the Physical Health webpage.

Short-Term Independent Studies

Family vacations should be planned outside the school year.  Please make every effort to schedule around our instructional calendar.  If your plans should include your child missing 3-14 days of school, please email Principal Kobata and your students' classroom teacher to discuss a short-term independent studies contract to minimize the impact of missed school days.

This year, community donations to MVEF are providing:

  • Over 17,000 Music4Schools lessons in 170 TK-5th Grade Classrooms.

  • Over 500 Living Classroom lessons for all students in TK-6th grade.

  • Environmental Science lessons and field trips for all 4th and 5th graders.

  • Additional English Language Arts teachers to reduce the average class size in grades 6-8.
