August 24, 2022 - English

Dear Families,

Tomorrow is a big night--our first in-person Back to School Night in a few years!  Why is it important for you to attend Back to School Night?

*You will meet your child’s teacher.

*You will meet other families.

*You will learn about ways that you can support your child’s classroom and school.

*You will model for your child the importance of school and education.

In order to accommodate families with multiple children, each teacher will present two sessions with identical content.  Parents may choose which session to attend.

6:00-6:40 Session 1

6:40-6:50 Whole school meeting at the Peace Tree (blue canopy area)

6:50-7:30 Session 2

If you are unable to attend Back to School Night, please let your child’s teacher know.  If you will need interpretation, please contact our School and Community Engagement Facilitator, Eduardo Rios Pacheco, [email protected].

Are you a parent of an English Learner or are you interested in supporting our emerging multilingual students?  We are in need of additional members to our English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC).  ELAC meets 4-5 times each year to provide input into our school’s English Learner and School Site plans, review academic progress of our school’s English Language Learners, and support with parent education.  Joining ELAC is also a great way to meet other families and members of our school community.  If you are interested, please contact Principal Cyndee, [email protected], or Mr. Rios, [email protected]

Finally, your child will be coming home with their brand new Bubb spirit shirt this Friday!  Every child receives a free t-shirt, thanks to your generous support of the Bubb PTA.  Students should wear their spirit shirts every Friday, and especially at our Walkathon on Friday, September 30th!

Looking forward to seeing everyone on Thursday night for Back to School Night!

In partnership,

Principal Cyndee

School Picture Day

Mark your calendars!  Picture day is Wednesday, August 31, 2022. Flyers and order forms were sent home with your student last Friday.

Medication Forms

If your child requires medication to be kept at school, please pick up medication release forms from the school office. We cannot administer any medication without the forms.  Please note that all medication, even over the counter medications, need a medication form signed by your doctor.

School meals are free, but fill out the EzSchool Meals application to help your school

MVWSD will continue to provide free meals to all students as part of California’s universal meal program. Breakfast and lunches are available daily.

We ask you to please Apply at EzSchool Meals to help MVWSD receive additional funding to support students who are in need, and may help your family.

This Free and Reduced Price Meals benefit is not limited to meals only. If your child is eligible for free and/or reduced-price meals, your family could get medical benefits, housing benefits, utilities benefits and more.

Students who qualify for free and/or reduced-price meals may be eligible for P-EBT cards. The more applications your school gathers at the start of each school year, the more additional funding it can receive for all kinds of programs that help children at your school.

If you are currently out of work, you may qualify and help your school, regardless of your financial situation. Apply at or call your school office.

Please Support Our Students!

MVEF raises money to provide all MVWSD students with an educational experience beyond what is possible with public funding.  Help us fund programming for your child and every child in the district!  We hope you saw the MVEF brochure (which doubles as a donation envelope) or watched the video during Back to School.  Please see the website at for more information and to donate online using ACH (from your bank account) or credit card.
