PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE:

Dear Families,

Please join us for tonight’s Parent University at 6:30 pm.  A panel of teachers and I will discuss effective parent teacher communication, provide an overview of student report cards, and share tips as you prepare for Parent-Teacher conferences (Zoom link).  Student report cards will be sent home electronically on Friday, November 18th at 3:00 pm.  Please contact the office if you need a hard copy.  Parent-Teacher conferences will take place the week of 12/5.  Teachers will send you your assigned conference time by 11/18.

Next week is United Against Hate Week. On Monday, students and families are asked to wear purple and walk to school, in honor of the brave Ruby Bridges who is a pioneer for school integration and to celebrate diversity in our schools.  Watch this video from some student council leaders for more information.

Students will also be taking their iReady Diagnostic 2 assessments next week.  We encourage students to do their best work and show what they know.  Staff uses the results of these assessments to inform their first teaching, as well as their RTI (intervention/enrichment) and WIN time groupings.

Have a wonderful week!

In partnership,

Principal Cyndee

We are part of an amazing community!

We feel so proud to be part of this kind and generous community. We never could have anticipated the response from our families when we asked for winter clothes. We received more than 100 bags of clothes! We want to say THANK YOU for your donations. Your donations made it possible for us to help many deserving families, not only families from our school but also families from other schools in MVWSD and our community. Seeing our families come together to assist others is extremely fulfilling.
