Principal’s Message

Hi Families!

I wanted to take this time to remind 3rd-5th grade families that CAASPP testing will start the week of the 15th.

Schedule

  • Wednesday,  April 17th, 5th graders will be taking the science test.  5th graders will be the only grade level that starts testing this week as they cannot test on Tuesday due to music and art.

  • All 3–5 Students will test in ELA the week of  April 22-26

  • Math on April 29-May 2.

  • Students will test in the morning before recess until 10 am.  Please be on time to school and do not schedule appointments during this time.

Don’t forget encouragement, encouragement, encouragement (more than you usually give).  Let your student  know you believe in them and are proud of their efforts.  Have them approach the test with a positive attitude and a willingness to do their best.  This along with having your child get a good night's rest and eating a good breakfast will make for the best outcome.

I want to wish all our families a fantastic spring break filled with relaxation, laughter, and cherished moments together. May this time bring rejuvenation and joy as you unwind and create beautiful memories. Whether you're embarking on exciting adventures or enjoying peaceful moments at home, may it be a refreshing and rejuvenating break for all. Have a wonderful spring break!

Respectfully,

Principal Kobata

Better Together: April

In April, MVWSD is recognizing National Volunteer Month and the #BetterTogether monthly theme of advocacy. This presents our district with an opportunity to acknowledge the invaluable contributions of volunteers in our community but also an opportunity to highlight the significance of advocacy in supporting volunteer efforts. Through advocacy, volunteers can advocate for causes they are passionate about, promote volunteerism within their communities, and advocate for systemic changes that create a more inclusive environment for all. By recognizing the importance of advocacy within the context of National Volunteer Month, we empower volunteers to not only lend their time and skills but also to be agents of change in building a better, more equitable society. We are #BetterTogetherMVWSD. For more information about Better Together, visit mvwsd.org/BetterTogetherMVWSD.
