Principal’s Message

Hi Families!

We are in a new chapter on our academic journey. It's an opportunity to set new goals, explore fresh ideas, and continue the pursuit of knowledge and excellence.

Our students will be working on exciting projects across various subjects. Get ready to be amazed by their creativity, innovation, and the unique perspectives they bring to their assignments.

Speaking of a new chapter, I am trying something different than the previous coffees.  Tonight is my first virtual Principal’s coffee  at 5pm.  Click on this link to register.  We will be discussing some of our most current data.

For our new and kindergarten families as you think about enrolling your student at Bubb, the process will begin on January 22nd.

Currently, our entrance/exit gates are in the process of being upgraded.  They will be in place within the next few weeks.

Respectfully,

Principal Kobata

Reporting absences

To report an absence, call the office at (650) 526-3480 and press 2, or email [email protected].  Provide the following information:

  • Date of absence

  • Student’s name

  • Room number

  • Reason for absence

  • Name and relationship of the person reporting the absence.

It is very important, for safety reasons, that we know the reason why a student is not present at school.

Lost and Found

Our Lost and Found rack is getting full! Check to see if you can find your student’s sweater, jacket or water bottle. It is located on the main hallway near Room 13. All parents are encouraged to label their child’s clothing with the student’s initials and room number. All unclaimed items are donated to charity at the end of the trimester.

Medication Forms

If your child requires medication to be kept at school, please pick up a medication release form from the school office. We cannot administer any medication without the forms.  Please note that all medication, even over the counter medications, need a medication form signed by your doctor.  For more information click here to be linked to the Physical Health webpage.

Better Together: January

“There are all kinds of courage," said Dumbledore, smiling. "It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends." - J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

Sometimes, being a good ally might mean standing up to our friends to protect someone else. In the month of January, MVWSD students will explore the essential question: How do I have a difficult conversation with someone? A thoughtful ally finds a way to express themselves respectfully and with an open mind. For more information about Better Together, visit mvwsd.org/BetterTogetherMVWSD.
