Bubb students have two great options for a healthy lunch. Kids can bring a packed lunch from home or purchase hot lunch at school.

Packed Lunch

SandwichWhen sending a packed lunch from home, we recommend using reusable containers and/or recyclables to help reduce trash. Please note that students are expected to open their own lunch containers without assistance.

Hot Lunch

Hot lunches are supplied to all Mountain View Whisman School District schools by Chef Bob and are sold in the Bubb Cafeteria (on the south side of the Multi-Purpose Room building) for $3.50. Reduced-price meals are $.40 for lunch. New students should submit applications for reduced-price lunches as soon as possible and must pay for meals (full-price) until approved.  For more information about free and reduced-price meals, please visit the MVWSD website.

Students must pay for their hot lunches in advance (online, or check/cash at the school office) or pay cash at the time of purchase. We encourage parents to pay online at Please note that there is a $3 convenience fee for this service (no fee when paying by check/cash at the school office); you will also need your student's ID number which may be obtained from the school office. Whether you pay online with a credit card or via check/cash at the office, will show you how much money remains in your account and can be set to send you reminders at pre-set balances. Your account balance will carry over from year to year.

Trash, Rain and Attire

Whether purchasing hot lunch or bringing lunch from home, all students are expected to throw away their own trash and to help keep the site clean. On days of inclement weather, students eat under the overhangs or in the MUR. However, students eat and play outside whenever possible at lunchtime and recess, so please send appropriate clothing for cold or damp weather.
