Principal's Message

Dear Families,

As you know by now, our school buildings will be closed through the end of the school year.  However, as Dr. Rudolph stated in his update to families (April 1, School Closure extended through June 5), even though buildings are closed, learning will continue.  I know this is a very trying time for us all with juggling work, family, and school.  I can't say enough how grateful we are for your partnership.  Thank you for your support and feedback as we finish up the third week of flexible learning.  Your positive feedback and encouragement keeps us going, but also helps us pinpoint and replicate what is going well.  Additionally, your wonderings and suggestions guide us as we adjust our learning paths.  Thank you for your understanding, flexibility, and grace as we navigate through a different educational landscape together.

This week, our 5th graders were supposed to make their trip to Science Camp.  To create a different type of memory for students, the 5th grade teachers created a virtual science camp.  Students Zoomed in from their blanket forts or sleeping bags at home.  They enjoyed singing, listening to campfire stories, and playing a game to identify different animal tracks they may see next time they go hiking.  It was great to see the 5th graders enjoying this rite of passage in a different way.  It reminded me that although circumstances are tough right now, we can still create memorable moments for ourselves and our families.

Have you checked out our Bubb Facebook page?  This week was Spirit Week and each day, we remembered a different decade.  There are lots of great photos of students dressing up to match the decade, as well as throwback photos of teachers and staff.

Next week is Spring Break.  Please take the time to enjoy the fun things you do with your families.  Teachers and staff will be off as well; however, I will be available if you have any questions.  Teachers look forward to connecting with you again on April 13th.

Please continue consulting the District website for the latest information regarding our time away from school. Take care!

Principal Cyndee

Make sure you’re counted! The U.S. Census is coming up

It’s crucial that we all participate, because an accurate count of residents is important for funding our community’s public resources, planning for the future, and for our voice in government. We all want to make sure that Mountain View gets the funding, services, and business support we need.

Here's how the Census works (video)

 Mensaje de La Directora

Estimadas familias,

Cyndee La Directora
